Utah Valley is one of the fastest-growing regions in the United States. Our population is expected to double in the next couple of decades. With the population explosion come considerable transportation issues. Utah’s infrastructure needs over the next 20 years exceed $60 billion to both maintain and provide infrastructure for growing areas.

Utah Valley Paratransit
http://www.utahvalleyparatransit.org/
Utah Valley Paratransit is contracted through UTA’s Paratransit Service ADA program to run services in Utah County for people with physical, cognitive or visual disabilities who are functionally unable to independently use the UTA fixed route bus service either all of the time, temporarily or only under certain circumstances.
We provide complementary paratransit service as origin-to-destination service. In UTA’s service model, origin-to-destination is also referred to as curb-to-curb service. UTA’s base level of service is curb-to-curb service. For curb-to-curb service, customers are responsible for getting to and from the curb at the pick-up and drop-off locations by themselves. Riders must be ready to ride during the 30-minute ready to ride time and must board the bus within 5 minutes of the bus arrival.
For more information on the ADA program or find out more about UTA’s Reasonable Service Modification, and eligibility requirements, visit UTA.
Utah Front Runner
FrontRunner is UTA’s commuter rail system. Trains run from Ogden to Provo along an 89-mile corridor and serve a total of 16 stations in Weber, Davis, Salt Lake and Utah Counties. Stations allow riders to connect to TRAX and bus routes, and feature free rider parking and bike lockers at most locations.
FrontRunner currently operates Monday through Saturday, with 30-minute frequency during peak times. Fare must be purchased before boarding at an on-platform ticket vending machine or UTA customer service location. Riders can also pay using FAREPAY cards or other forms of electronic payment by tapping the card on the card reader before boarding and after exiting the train. FrontRunner fare is good for two hours after first boarding, and includes free transfers to bus or TRAX during that time.
FrontRunner trains use diesel-powered push/pull locomotives and can reach speeds of up to 79 miles per hour. Each train includes a locomotive and three or four bi-level and single-level passenger cars. FrontRunner trains typically have one car designated for cyclists and bikes. Every FrontRunner train is equipped with complimentary Wi-Fi.
FrontRunner opened stations between Salt Lake City and Ogden in April 2008. An additional station in Pleasant View opened later that year. In December 2012, UTA expanded FrontRunner to include stops between Salt Lake City and Provo.
